My grandma came from a poor family and so when she was young, she had to gather chili in order to survive and bring in income. When she married into another family, she gave birth to six daughters.
To provide a better life for her family, she spent days and nights coming up with a perfect recipe which is now known as ‘All-Purpose Ah Ma Chili’. This is the recipe that has been passed down for two generations. The second generation has worked equally hard and as a result, created four different variations of chili: Sambal Belacan, Curry Chicken Paste, Curry Fish Paste and Seafood Meat Paste.
‘All-Purpose Ah Ma Chili’ is no longer a secret recipe but now a family business that will be passed down for generations.
